Kombucha Making Equipment
We are a UK supplier of kombucha brewing equipment. Kombucha is a fermented drink made from tea, with it’s origins traced back to South East Asia. It’s popularity has spread to the West, where it is one of the fastest growing drinks. While normal carbonated drinks are made with sugar, carbonated water and everything artificial, kombucha is naturally sweet and carbonated, owing to the natural bacteria and yeast found inside.
V-Brew have a history of supplying some of the biggest UK kombucha producers and have supported them as they have grown. You can read about what some of our customers, including Kombucha provider Kombucha Kat, think about V-Brew in the references section of our website. The fermentation stage is where the magic happens with the tea mixture combined with the SCOBY to produce a sweet, carbonated drink. In order for the process to hit the consistent high quality that consumers expect, it is important to be able to control the process.
V-Brew offers a computerised management system, which is a flexible automated system that can be controlled through
a touch screen pad. The system sets, monitors and records the temperature conditions of each tank. Records can be kept ensuring consistency of fermentation and storage conditions. The system can
include the following functions:
- Energy saving
- Cost efficiency
- Automated control
- Scaled and customised to users need
At V-Brew, we are always forward thinking, therefore all control panels are packed with up-to-date technology such as a Weintek touch screen human machine interface (HMI) and Siemens Logo PLC.
Kombucha Filtration Equipment
Some Kombucha makers choose to filter their products. V-Brew can supply a range of devices, from simple plate filters to cross-flow filters, which save energy and time and can automate the process. Crossflow filtration works like a bypass, with a beer gently recirculated through the porous membranes and back to the pump inlet. The “clean” filtrate passes the membrane, due to the pressure difference, and the beer in the system gets more and more turbid. We will always offer honest advice about what works for your business needs.
Once a brew is done, the challenge is putting the right amount of liquid in a bottle or container in the shortest amount of time. Machines differ depending on the volume of your brews and the level of autonomy. V-Brew stocks a wide range of bottle fillers, ranging from simple gravity filling to large industrial counter pressure machines, and a good selection in between. Whether you are a small start-up or established kombucha maker, we will have a solution for you.
